artist statement

I specialize in fragmenting and recombining photographic perspectives and fleeting moments. Within my landscape photography, I employ mirrors to transcend conventional singular viewpoints, seamlessly merging disparate spaces within the frame. Through my exploration of instant film assemblage, I deliberately disrupt the developing image, harnessing the power of destruction to evoke themes of loss and navigate the complexities of grief. These disruptions serve as portals, allowing fragmented timelines to converge and form new narratives. Furthermore, my work delves into the transformative potential of image disruption, acting as a catalyst for transgression, healing, and synthesis.

In my most recent artistic endeavors, I've embarked on a journey using digital retouching tools with a sense of naivety. This approach allows me to unveil and interrogate the ways in which algorithms distort our perception of self and surroundings. By exposing these distortions, I aim to provoke critical reflection on the impact of technology on our sense of identity and our relationship with the world
