Sclera

The title here refers to the covering of the eyeball. The term sclerotic is defined as “becoming rigid and unresponsive; losing the ability to adapt.” I found a plastic sheet stuck to a cactus thrashing around in the desert wind. I decided to bring it home with me. I then used it to photograph a lake I know very well. As most are aware, plastic has become a scourge on our environment and we will have to figure out what to do with it, how to adapt to its presence in our world.
