Fragmented Desert - Joshua Tree
Fragmented Desert is a subseries and continuation of my working method in Everywhere And All At Once. Here I am using the mirror to evoke the way many people are experiencing natural places via their phone screens. The uncorrupted natural environment is a place where we can experience silence, calm, and less stress (this is statistically proven - as if we need that proof!). I see these places as antidotes to the noisy chaos of our information overloaded modern life. Yet people are arriving at these places ready to make digital copies via the phone instead of simply being there and getting the full sensory experience. These images are a comment on this phenomenon.
